Hordriss kept a cup of this powder near the blackboard in his Level 2 "Academy of Magic", perhaps fearing classroom pranks. He sprinkled some of the powder along the length of his birthday present from Sidriss, allowing him to confirm the claim made by dungeoneer Julie (Team 6 of Series 7) that the gift was a Wand of Freezing that Lord Fear had disguised as a Wand of Majesty.

The effect of the powder was evident to Hordriss but not visible to the Watchers.
